Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

Driver waitlist: your email address, and optionally your name, ZIP code, phone number, and vehicle preferences (such as budget, body style, or specific vehicles you select from listed inventory).

Dealership waitlist: dealership name, your name and role, business email, business phone, and dealership location.

Messages: anything you send us by email or through a contact form.

Information collected automatically

When you visit our site, we and our hosting and analytics providers collect standard technical data: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring site, and the date and time of your visit.

We do not collect payment information, driver’s license details, or government ID through the waitlist.

2. How we use it

• To add you to the waitlist and confirm your signup.
• To send launch updates, early-access invitations, and news about AristoCarWare.
• If you select vehicles, to email you about those vehicles and similar options.
• To show dealerships aggregated demand (for example, “40 drivers in San Jose want a compact SUV”). We share these as totals, not your name or contact details, unless you ask us to connect you with a specific dealership.
• To contact dealerships about partnering with us.
• To run, secure, and improve our website, and to prevent spam and abuse.
• To comply with legal obligations.

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We share information only with service providers that help us run AristoCarWare, under contracts that limit their use of it to providing services to us:

• Squarespace for website hosting, storing waitlist signups, site analytics, and sending email updates.
• Google reCAPTCHA to protect our forms from spam and abuse. Use of reCAPTCHA is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
• Any other email delivery provider we use for sending email.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. If that happens, this policy will continue to apply to your information.

4. Emails and unsubscribing

Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email hello@aristocarware.com. We process unsubscribe requests within 10 business days. After you unsubscribe, we may still send rare non-promotional messages, such as a reply to something you asked us.

5. Cookies and analytics

We use essential cookies to keep the site working. Our website host, Squarespace, also sets analytics cookies that help us understand traffic, and Google reCAPTCHA may set cookies to tell people apart from bots. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies using the cookie banner on our site. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party ad trackers.

Do Not Track: browsers send “Do Not Track” signals inconsistently and there is no common standard for them, so our site does not change its behavior in response to them. We do honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a request to opt out of any sale or sharing, although we don’t sell or share data to begin with.

6. How long we keep it

We keep waitlist information until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, or until 24 months after our public launch in your area, whichever comes first. Technical logs are kept for up to 90 days. We may keep a minimal record (such as your email and the date you unsubscribed) so we can honor your opt-out.

7. Your choices and rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

• tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy of it,
• correct inaccurate information,
• delete your information, or
• stop sending you marketing email.

Email hello@aristocarware.com from the address you signed up with. We’ll respond within 45 days and may need to confirm your identity first. We will never treat you differently for making a request.

8. California residents

AristoCarWare is based in California. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) and the California Online Privacy Protection Act, California residents have the rights described above, plus:

• Right to know: in the past 12 months we collected identifiers (name, email, phone, IP address), commercial information (vehicle preferences), internet activity (site usage), and general location (ZIP code or city), from you directly and from your device, for the purposes in section 2.
• No sale or sharing: we have not sold or shared personal information, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
• Sensitive information: we do not collect sensitive personal information through the waitlist.
• Authorized agents: you can have an authorized agent make a request for you with your signed permission.
• Shine the Light: we do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing.

9. Security

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach affects your information, we will notify you as required by law.

10. Age requirement

AristoCarWare is for adults. Our waitlist is intended for people 18 and older, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a minor has signed up, email us and we’ll delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we’ll update the effective date above and email waitlist members before the changes take effect. We’ll ask for your consent before using your information in a materially new way.
